Best Garlic Baked Potatoes with Bacon Recipe

 

In this video you will see how to make Garlic Baked Potatoes with Bacon, you will be able to follow along and see the ingredients & cooking method.
I also show 3 different ways this can be served, loaded potatoes, hasselback potatoes and potato wedges.
This is perfect for lunch time or even for an evening meal, it is filling, tasty and full of flavour with the spices and creamy.
LOADED POTATOES WITH BACON/ Mozarella/Cheddar
INGREDIENTS
* 4 large potatoes
* 30g cream cheese
* 55g bacon bits
* 56g unsalted butter
* 125g mozzarella cheese
* 50g heavy cream
* ½ teaspoon garlic powder
* salt and pepper ( depends on your preferences )
* 125g cheddar cheese
* 4 - 6 tablespoons fried crispy onions
* 4 - 6 tablespoons sour cream
some chives/ rosemary
INTRUCTION
1. Preheat oven 200 degree C ( 400 F )
2. Prick potatoes all over with a fork. And wrap tightly in a foil. Bake in 1 hour or until soft.
3. Unwrap potatoes, allow them to cool for 5 or 10 minutes and cut lengthwise, slits in the top of
each.
4. Gently scoop out flesh from center of each into a bowl. Add cream cheese, bacon, butter,
mozzarella, heavy cream, garlic, salt and pepper. Mash until well blended and smooth.
5. Use spoon to transfer the potato mixture back into the scooped out potato skin.
6. Sprinkle potatoes with cheddar cheese and crispy fried onions. Bake for another 15- 20 minutes ( 175 C / 350 F ) or until the cheese melted.
7. Top with sour cream and sprinkle with chives or rosemary.
HASSELBACK
INGREDIENTS
* 800g 6 small potatoes
* 57g melted butter ¼ cup
* 60 ml olive oil ¼ cup
* 4 cloves crushes garlic
salt and pepper
* 1 cup cheddar cheese
INSTRUCTION
1.Preheat oven 180 ( 360 F ) Grease baking pan with cooking spray
2. Scrub potatoes clean and pat dry.
3. Place potatoes between two chopstick. Slice the potato into thin slices, leaving ¼ inches ( 0.630
cm )at the bottom unsliced.The chopstick will prevent you from slicing the potatoes all the way through.The smaller slices you make the faster and crispier the potato will be.
4. In a smal bowl melt butter in a microwave then add olive oil and garlic.Stir until combined.
5. Place the potatoes on the baking pan. Brush them on butter mixture. Make sure to get in between all the slices. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
6. Bake 50 minutes. Insert cheddar cheese
7. Bake again until potatoes are tender and the skin is crispy.
8. Brush with remaining butter mixture and garnish with chives before serving.
*SEASONED BAKED POTATO WEDGES
INGREDIENTS
* 6 medium size potatoes ( washed, unpeeled )
* 3 tablespoon olive oil
* 2 teaspoon chili powder
* 1 teaspoon dried oregano
* 2 teaspoon paprika powder
* 1 teaspoon flour ( optional )
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
* 2 teaspoon garlic powder
* sour cream / ketchup
1. Preheat oven 180C ( 360 F ) Grease baking pan with cooking spray.
2. Cut each potato in half lengthwise, then cut each half into 4 wedges. So you get 8 pieces If your
potatoes are small just cut into 6 wedges.
3. Place the sliced potatoes in a large bowl, drizzle over oil add all seasoning, toss with hands until
well coated.
4. Spread out on tray ensuring cut side lies flat on the tray.
5. Bake 30 minutes turning once or until tender and brown crispy outside and fluffy on the inside.
7. Serve immediately with ketchup or sour cream
